About Venue Innovation Lab

Venue Innovation Lab is a collaborative resource to serve those involved in designing, operating, marketing, and selling live event experiences at sports and entertainment venues worldwide.  Our mission is to foster and fuel innovative advancements, including the sharing of inspirational ideas, latest trends, best practices, new technologies, development spotlights, behind-the-scenes access, and compelling interviews with industry leaders.

What is Innovation?

Innovation is the act of introducing something new or making changes to something that already exists. This can take many forms, such as the introduction of a new product or service, the development of a new technology or method, or the implementation of a new idea or concept. Innovation is often associated with progress and advancement, and usually motivated by a desire to solve problems, meet new needs, or improve upon existing solutions. Innovation can happen in any field or industry, and it is often driven by creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.

^^ Actually, the above definition was written by ChatGPT… the newest challenger in disruptive innovation. But, whatever definition you may adopt, I’m a fan of the computer’s assessment that it is “often driven by creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.”

Those are three pillars that also inspired the launch of the Venue Innovation Lab… an opportunity for us to discover, share, and learn more about those who are creating, experimenting, and collaborating to deliver the dynamic sports and entertainment experiences of the future.
